Lakewood Ranch is the new location for veteran insurance broker and consultant Paul Shepherd. Paul chose to relocate his family to the beautiful LWR area and introduce his unique style of insurance management to this fast-growing area. Paul has 28 years of insurance experience in Mid to Large Co Commercial sales, Mid to Large Company Employee Benefits sales, Estate and Business Planning, Life Insurance, and Fee-Based Consulting for Large National based businesses and Family Offices for Ultra High Net Worth.

LWR Insurance Advisors is entirely independent, allowing us to review options from dozens of different carriers and programs and make recommendations that are utterly devoid of conflicts of interest. We review what you have and provide an audit of your current plans, programs, and carriers. We then scour the marketplace for the best alternatives and advise and guide our clients to make informed, educated decisions.

"Since my earliest days in the insurance industry, I was very uncomfortable with the lack of disclosure and the tremendous number of conflicts of interest in this industry. I was taught to sell what is best for the agency or carrier, to tell the client only what they needed to know or were smart enough to ask for, and to NEVER discuss commission!"

This turned me off immediately and shaped how I have built my business and treated my clients for over 25 years. I always treat my clients like family or friends, and most have become friends over time; I educate clients on the products and services their family or businesses need and then guide them as THEY choose the best plan or program. 

I try my best to never SELL insurance to clients, and my clients regularly tell me how much they appreciate my approach. And I ALWAYS discuss and disclose ALL of the actual costs of insurance, including the carriers' profit and the commissions paid out to brokers. It's a consultative and collaborative approach, and it has served my clients very well over the years. I am happy to say that my client list available for new clients to call for references is EVERY client I have ever had.
